Friday, May 16

Admin: Seniors, your lunch accounts must be a $0 balance.
Seniors - Your lockers must be cleaned out by the end of the day TODAY.
All remaining items will be donated or thrown away.
All of Mrs. Russell’s classes are to report to the balcony.

Service Opportunities:
6 volunteers are needed for the Guardian Angels Parish Picnic on Sunday, June 8th, from 12 pm to
3 pm. Student helpers will be assisting/overseeing kids' games. See GC!
The Family Fun Area at Holy Family Parish (St. Clement's in Navarre) is in need of enthusiastic
student volunteers for this year’s event, taking place on June 5th-7th. They are looking for
volunteers to help make this event a fun and memorable experience for everyone. See the attached
sheet on GC for more info and to sign up with their QR code.
The Uniform Guy needs volunteers Friday July 11th and Saturday July 12th, 10 am - 6 pm. 2-3
volunteers are needed to face paint and assist shoppers for a 2 hour shift. See GC to sign up

Campus Ministry:
“Day In May” ~ May Crowning is Sunday, May 18th @ the CCHS Grotto! It will begin at 12:30
with the Rosary, followed by Mass at 1:00 pm and then the May Crowning immediately after
Mass. The grotto committee is looking for students to be in the May Crowning procession and to
"crown" the statue of Mary in this traditional event and is hoping to have each class represented
with 1 or more persons. See GC to sign up.

Attention Summer Government: Classes will begin May 19th at 3 pm directly after school in Mr.
Johnson's room (217)

Marketing:
Attention Seniors: It's time for one of our favorite events...graduation walks at our elementary
partner schools. We encourage as many seniors as possible to attend, the more students who walk
the better. If you didn't attend a Catholic grade school, no problem, you are welcome to join your
friends at any of the schools. The sign-up sheet is on Google Classroom. Please sign-up this week,
the first walk is on Monday.

Athletics:
CCHS Lacrosse defeated Orange last night 17-7, improving their record to 16-3 and advancing to
the regional quarter finals, the farthest a Central lacrosse team has advanced. Leading scorer was
Conner Thomas with 5 goals, followed by Ricky Salvino with 4, Marty Mikulas with 3, Bryce
Stalnaker with 2, and Grady Noggle, Dominic Bogdan, and Emerson Schwiger with 1 goal each.
Helping out with assists were Ricky Salvino, John Fabek, and Grady Noggle. Rocco Ross had a
great game at goal, with 10 saves. He was assisted on defense by Isaac Ray, John White, Brock
Abbott, Preston Scott and Limyerre Goodgame. The Crusaders will play the next playoff game at
Wooster on Wednesday, May 21st.

Any girls interested in Girls Golf stop and talk to Coach Crane in the Learning Commons
JV Baseball will have an away game this evening against Dover at 5:00pm.
Varsity Baseball will have a home game this evening against Dover at 5:00pm.
Track will have a home meet tomorrow morning beginning at 8:00am.
Varsity Baseball will be having Senior Day tomorrow against St. Thomas Aquinas at 1:00pm.

Yearbook:
Applications for the 2026 Vigil Staff are now available in the main office. We are looking for editors, layout designers, and photographers to help us make a great book next year! Please fill out and return your application to the main office or to Dr. Ostertag.

Marketing:
Attention Seniors: It's time for one of our favorite events...graduation walks at our elementary partner schools. We encourage as many seniors as possible to attend, the more students who walk the better. If you didn't attend a Catholic grade school, no problem, you are welcome to join your friends at any of the schools. The sign-up sheet is on Google Classroom. Please sign-up this week, the first walk is on Monday.

There will be an informational Girls Soccer meeting this evening at 6:00 in the community room. The following girls need to turn in uniforms ASAP :Leia Dekawski, Jasmine Sevilla.

Any girls interested in Girls Golf stop and talk to Coach Crane in the Learning Commons.
Track will have an away meet this afternoon at 4:30pm at Massillon Jr. High Sports Complex.
Varsity Lacrosse will have a tournament game at home this evening at 7:00pm against Orange.

Student Council:
Anyone who is interested in running for Student Council for next year should apply by Friday at 2:55. Sophomores and Juniors may run for the Board positions which will be voted on by the school and each class will elect their own class officers. Applications are on each class' GC.

Wellness Wednesday:
Happy Wellness Wednesday from the Healthy Heart Club! Today's wellness tip is to try to eat more whole foods! Whole, unprocessed foods provide more nutrients than packaged or 
refined foods. Also, please note the Clinic will be closed today!

AP Biology:
AP Biology needs your help. Yesterday, we hid paper butterflies throughout the basement, first, and second floors of the new building. We are hoping they are camouflaged and predators can't find them. However, if you find one, please snatch it and bring it to Mrs. Paulus's room for a piece of candy. Teams are competing to see who can hide their butterflies best. Good luck!

Senior Class:
Seniors need to bring a cotton or mostly cotton white shirt to tye dye on Tuesday. It can be a uniform shirt, a central t shirt or a plain white T-shirt, as long as it is white, short sleeved, and, mostly cotton. We will dye these together during periods 6 & 7 on Tuesday so you can wear them on Friday. You can bring your shirt to 305 on Monday so it's for sure ready for Tuesday if you want to!

On Friday night at Fairless placing in the top 3 for the boys and girls track team were Aidan Nasvadi who took 1st in the 400M, Jonathan Stangl who placed 2nd in the discus and the  girls 4x200 relay of Jade Kirby, Molly Marceric, Ellie Buckler and Isis Hall who placed 3rd.

Over the weekend, Varsity Baseball beat Mooney 13-2. Way to go Crusaders!
